Map Voting - By Irritant

Map voting is a relatively new feature Alien Arena has introduced in recent versions. Quite simply it allows players to vote for what map they will play next. When a match finishes on a server that is running map vote code you'll see a few extra options on the final screen - look at the image below, and notice "<<Map Choices" pointing to a list of 4 maps. Option 1 will always be the map that you've just played, the other 3 options will be different maps. You can vote by bringing down the ingame console using the ` key and typing vote # - with the # being the number of the map that you want to vote for. For faster voting you can bind keys to "vote 1" and "vote 2" etc. An example would be to bring down the console (using the ` key) and typing into the console bind F1 "vote 1" - this would allow you to simply hit your F1 key to vote for map 1. You can do this for F1-F4 (or any other keys you fancy) and make things really easy on yourself.
